The hotel which is spectacularly situated at the foot of the Eiger North Face was reopened after extensive refurbishment and expansion work in August 2012. 

The Aspen features 24 double rooms and 13 suites, a restaurant and bar and a spacious wellness and spa area. Style and design of all areas are authentic and are dominated by regional materials and elements reflecting freshness, widths and wildlife of the Alps. Mountains, sports and forest themes are dominating features and are implemented throughout the hotel with great attention to detail, and combining tradition and modernity. The restaurant and the bar for instance show elements of contemporary chalet style, Alpine hut and cowshed contrasted with modern elements and authentically reinterpreted to meet the expectations of the modern lifestyle guests.
